DAY 7 - worth seeing

Today and tomorrow you will have the opportunity to take part in the discussion forum "Polityka wyobraźni" (Politics of Imagination) in the Museum of Archaeology Courtyard. For more information about the forum please see: malta-festival.pl/forum

At 5 p.m., in the Museum of Archaeology Audiovisual Hall, we will show Luk Perceval's film, The Concealed City.

At 6 p.m., in the Culture Walkway, we will satisfy the curiosity of those of you who did not take part in Kolacja z Kanarkiem (Dinner with a Canary) and show what happened on 27 June in one of the old tenement houses in Poznań. Kolacja z kanarkiem część druga (Dinner with a Canary Part Two) by the MASH/ HER / DIP / JAN ZAMOYSKI collective is a film recording of the mysterious "dinner". (Approximate duration: 40 minutes)

At 7 p.m.,Teatr Polski, Scena Duża will show a modern version of Gabriela Zapolska's "bourgeois drama", Ich Czworo, directed by Agnieszka Korytkowska-Mazur.

Ondadurto Teatro, a company that is already known to the Poznań audience, will present Felliniana, a show inspired by the work of Federico Fellini. It avails of intensive images and a continuously changing connection with the audience ranging between close contact, when the actor is among the viewers, and scenes when the observer is kept at a distance by the actor who is in a strictly demarcated acting field (9.30 p.m., Wolności Square).

Starting at 10 p.m., Stary Browar (Słodowania, 3 piętro) will present two artists: Charlotte Vanden Eynde with I'm sorry It's (Not) A Story, followed by Tarek Halaby and An attempt to understand my socio-political disposition through artistic research on personal identity in relationship to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, Part One (40'). The first show is a story that actually becomes a story through the viewers' involvement and their own interpretation. It confronts the associative language of images with pure dance and experiments with meaning and emotion. In the second show, the artist, an American Palestinian born in Saudi Arabia, the holder of a Jordanian passport who was raised as a catholic, has always spoken English and has lived in the USA since he was ten years old, tries to understand the still unresolved situation of Palestinians (who are also, in a way, confused about their identity) and to describe it with dance.

At 10 p.m., Śródka Market will become the Centre of Europe (Śródka Europy [uruchomienie wahadła]). In this project, Akademia Ruchu want to take advantage of the inspiring features of this part of the city (the unusual shape of the market square and the closed-down and desolate cinema). Śródka is an area that seems forgotten and frozen in time, albeit it will, at some point, inevitably catch up with the rest of Poznań. The reinterpretation of the mysterious (for most viewers) film show will take place here and now, in a single event.

The Belgian singer Tom Van Laere took his stage name, Admiral Freebee, from Jack Kerouac's novel, On the Road. Admiral Freebee's concert will start at the Festival Club at 11 p.m. As usual, the concert will be followed by the Silent Disco starting at midnight.
