David Guggenheim

Davis Guggenheim is an American director and a TV and cinema producer. He was an executive producer of "Training Day" and the director of "Gossip". His work includes a number of TV series. In 1999 he took on an ambitious task of recording a few young teachers of public schools in their first year of teaching, an effect of which were two documentaries on the school system in L.A., entitled "The First Year" [Peabody Award and Grand Jury Award at Full Frame Film Festival]. The last and the most important film by Guggenheim is "An Inconvenient Truth" which won a 2006 Oscar for the Best Documentary Feature.
