David Zambrano has been holding a special position in the dance environment (including, but not limited to circles interested in improvisation) for over twenty years. His creations are featured by a passion for cultural exchange which is his endless fascination. He lives and works in Amsterdam, whilst teaching all over the world. This inspiring teacher, born improviser and breathtaking performer continuously affects the shape of contemporary dance. The methods he has invented, Flying Low and Passing Through, are devices used by improvisers worldwide. He sees his long-term artistic work as a source of inspiration in his teaching activities and, as he himself says, as the secret behind the phenomenon of his continually fresh teaching methods that have brought him never-ending acclaim and popularity.
