Compañia de Paso
Compañia de Paso is a Chilean group who spread their wings having met Urlich Hirzel, the famous Swiss "new circus" producer and director. He had visited Chile regularly since the 1990's and in 2006 held a seminar for circus artists in Santiago. The effect was so interesting that it became the starting point for the show Un Horizonte Cuadrado. The company continuously seeks new forms of aerial acrobatics and strives to exceed circus routine. Perfect skills are not their goal in its own right, but a language to communicate with the audience. Compañia de Paso has been dubbed a "ballet in the air". The artists are also involved in community projects dedicated to residents of rural areas and deprived urban districts, in addition to organising circus workshops for children and youths.
