Gdy rozum śpi budzą się demonyTEATR POLSKI W POZNANIU
Marek Fiedor's performance [after Antonio Buero Vallejo] is a psychological portrait of a great painter and printmaker, Francisco Goya, in his last days. It is the study of his deafness, loneliness and fears. The performance, full of moving scenes, shows Goya not only as an artist, but also as a man involved in politics and history. It is an artwork in a theatrical stage around the genius who had to cope with old age, weakness and self-deprecation. What turns out to be the most important element of Marek Fiedor's performance, are the individual gestures that become meaningful and the play of light and shadow which echoes Goya's painting art.
