La rue est dans le pré

Duration: 1h 30

It is picnic time! (Spectators are expected to bring basketfuls of food!) In the dance performance of La rue est dans le pré, the picnic situation becomes an occasion to deliberate on the dynamics of social development. Nine artists take us on a colourful journey through the 1950s, 60s, and 70s, showing us the world’s great events and the giant leaps of the cultural revolution that changed the lives of normal, small people. Conquest of space, emancipation of women, discovery of the ”free time” category, pornography, combined with economic progress of the world, brought changes in social mentality. Haven’t artists for centuries tried to convince us that breakfast on grass need not be banal?
